Nestled in the lush green edge of the Western Ghats, Bhadra Tiger Reserve offers a spectacular blend of dense forests, serene water bodies, and rolling hills. Spread across the Chikmagalur and Shivamogga districts of Karnataka, this reserve is not only home to the elusive tiger, but is home to a flourishing population of river terns that nest in large numbers on the islands of the Bhadra reservoir. Every year, these graceful birds gather here during the breeding season, and create a mesmerizing scene of life and movement.

This gallery is a tribute to the beauty and diversity of Bhadra — from the stillness of its forests to the rhythmic flutter of river tern wings.
